The Japanese language is taught by using hiragana, katakana, and kanji. Hiragana, katakana and kanji are characters. I wanted to create the design of the app in order to to help the player memorize the hiragana, katakana or kanji characters because most of the characters are similar to each other except for kanji which has more strokes. At the start of the game the player can choose to be tested on hiragana or katakana or kanji. Once the user choose what to be tested on, it will take him or her to a randomiser. On the game play screen the player must choose the correct character that is shown on the enemy at the right side. If the player is wrong then it is gameover and start everything over. If the player is correct, it will go to the next enemy. This will continue until the player has completed all the characters. The design of this app can be experienced at InVision.
